Sevilla - El Real de la Jara

Description

The trail is well signposted with yellow arrows and grey stone markers, but it is better not to follow them when entering towns and villages. They often run in the opposite direction to traffic. 

From the village of Almadén de la Plata, follow the signs that run through the Sierra Norte Nature Park. There are numerous gates along the route, all with yellow markings.

There are some areas of terrain presenting moderate technical difficulty, with loose stone caused by streams in the rainy season. All other stretches are trails in a good state of repair or roads. The longest stretch of road is after leaving Castilblanco de los Arroyos, which is a road with very little traffic. 

The percentage of trails/paths is 80%, with the remaining 20% being paved roads.
