The trail is well signposted with yellow arrows and there are modern milestones along the way. You may find some stretches where cycling is difficult during the rainy season. Some streams need to be forded or crossed, though they do not present any major difficulty, with different options to ford at other points.
The motorway between Salamanca and Zamora has altered the layout of the route and has created a service road running parallel to the motorway offering an alternative route for travellers.
The percentage of trails/paths is 90%, with the remaining 10% being paved roads.
