There are many signposts indicating the San Salvador Route all the way to the village of Buiza. From La Pendilla on, you will see signs indicating the Via Carisa and the Via de la Plata. The entire route is abundantly signposted with yellow markings. Few stretches run along paved roads, most are tracks with lots of loose stones.
Traffic is light. The entire route is highly suitable for cycling. It is necessary to cross railway lines several times, some over footbridges, others via underpasses, or even over a level crossing, as in the case of Villamanín.
30% paved roads, 65% trails and 5% paths.
